【國際合作中心】Summer Reminder

Dear Students,

This semester is coming to an end, and we will have a two-month-long summer vacation ahead. Here are a few important reminders:

During the summer vacation, we will spend NT$20 million on renovating Jing-Chin residence hall, to strengthen the structure and provide a safer living environment. Therefore, for the female students who are staying in Jing-Chin residence hall, please comply with the regulations and move to the dormitory behind the library, and then move back before the new semester starts.

In addition, due to the increasing demand for dorm rooms for junior students, students from third grade and above should move out of the dormitory and seek off-campus accommodation, or to move to the "Yuantong residence hall" outside our school. Vietnamese students of the International Programs of Industry-Academia Collaboration, the students who have received special scholarships, and those who have been granted permission by the President, can continue to live in the dormitory.

Students who wish to stay away from school must obtain parental permission (please provide a picture of the conversation with parents) and submit beforehand an application to their class teacher or teacher in the Division of International and Cross-Strat Affairs for approval. Currently, students are allowed to stay away from school for long periods of time, because of the need to avoid crowding during Covid-19. But everything will be back to normal after the summer vacation.

If you are leaving Taiwan for your home country, be sure to report to the Division of International and Cross-Strat Affairs first.

If you are working part-time, please pay attention to the epidemic prevention measures. Do not work overtime, and avoid working in improper places.

If you are going on a trip, please take care of your own safety.

Lastly, we would like to remind you that the new semester starts on September 12. For those who will leave Taiwan, please pay attention to the quarantine and isolation regulations after returning to Taiwan, so as not to impact your studies or internships.

We wish you all a happy and safe summer!
